Dealing With Increased Gas Prices

We recognize and understand that the quickly rising fuel prices have placed
an increased financial pressure on many of our employees. Some helpful tips
that may reduce your fuel usage or costs at the pump during these
challenging times can be found below.

   -

   Find the lowest gas prices in the area.  Before you fuel up, use the
   GasBuddy <https://www.gasbuddy.com/> app or visit the GEICO
   <https://www.geico.com/save/local-gas-prices/> website for the lowest
   prices in a particular area.
   -

   Make sure your vehicle’s maintenance is up-to-date.  A well-maintained
   vehicle ensures you are getting the maximum fuel efficiency from it.
   -

   Carpool.  Find a friend or neighbor that travels in the same direction
   and share the costs of travel.
   -

   Take advantage of gas promotions.  If you shop at Market 32, using
your Advantage
   Card <https://www.pricechopper.com/rewards/> will give you $0.05 off per
   gallon of gas at participating Sunoco stations for every $100 you spend in
   groceries.
   -

   Ride the bus.  Take advantage of the bus routes
   <http://www.clintoncountypublictransit.com/routes.html> available from
   the Clinton County Public Transit.

   If you have an electric vehicle, take advantage of the Electric Vehicle
   Charging Stations in front of the Myers Fine Arts Building (Lot 11) or
   Hawkins Hall (Lot 2) on the Campus Map
