As we slowly transition to a new learning management system, we realize
that for those faculty new to Plattsburgh, you will still need to know how
to navigate our current system, Moodle. With that in mind, we are offering
our abridged *Teaching with Moodle *workshop starting Monday August 8th. I
say "abridged," because we will be focusing on the resources and activities
that will also be available in Brightspace, and minimizing our instruction
with respect to those that will not be available in the new system. As a
result, our formerly five-day workshop has been edited down to four.

*Attention chairs and deans: *Please encourage any new hires to attend
these sessions (assuming they are able to log in to Moodle with their
Plattsburgh credentials). As always, we will be available for one-on-one
consultations, but this opportunity is excellent, because the participants
are immersed in the Moodle experience, which translates quite well when
they transition from "student" to teacher.

Finally, folks who successfully complete this four-day workshop are
automatically certified to teach fully-online courses.

Moodle: Teaching with Moodle (Online - 4 Days) (Seats available for faculty
and staff.)

This *four-day online workshop* covers all aspects of teaching in Moodle.
Three hours each day will be spent in Zoom sessions covering the tools
available to you in the Moodle system, and an estimated four hours each day
will be spent in Moodle itself, completing readings, watching videos,
completing written assignments, and participating in forums. Following the
successful completion of the workshop, attendees will be certified to teach
fully online and remote courses at SUNY Plattsburgh.
Note: The Zoom sessions will run from 9:00am through 12:15 each day. Zoom
session details and directions for accessing the Moodle workshop site will
be emailed to participants the day before the workshop begins.

Monday, August 8, 2022 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Zoom (Online)

Register on the TEL/CTE Workshop page.
