*November 7th *will kick off our *Black Solidarity Day Teach-In*
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/news/news-archive/black-solidarity-day-officially-added-to-suny-plattsburghs-academic-calendar.html>,
to be held annually on the first Monday of November. Our campus will host a
full day of programming for the Plattsburgh community.
We are looking for faculty, staff, and students who want to contribute by
being part of a session. A session could be a variety of things: a
collection of readings, a presentation, an activism workshop, an exercise,
a performance, a discussion, a service project, etc.
This is a day to meditate on the meaning of civic engagement in a
multi-racial democracy. Black Solidarity Day is meant "to highlight racial
injustices, societal inequities, and to illuminate how Black voices are
integral to American life

and our college community. That is one of the many things we promise our
students. So please take some time to talk with your friends, mentors, and
colleagues, and then propose a session. *Please complete this Google
