Printing/Scanning services offline tonight for upgrades

Campus Community,

ITS tech teams will be performing maintenance on our print servers tonight
beginning at 7 p.m. Functions will not be available on campus copiers for
roughly three-to-four hours.

This work will ensure our systems have the latest updates to make for a
more secure environment. It will also allow us to upgrade services,
including QR Code Release and "Follow-Me" printing and scanning.

The QR Code Release function will, when fully activated at a later date,
let you use your Smartphone to release print jobs.

The Follow-Me service offers some great benefits, such as:

   - Printing to a SUNY Plattsburgh printer from across campus or off-campus
   - Ability to avoid having confidential materials exposed at a printer
   before you pick them up
   - No need to know the exact printer to send it to (which means you won't
   send it to the wrong one).
