Gender identity and Personal pronouns updates



Starting last Monday, Sept 20, you will notice two additions to the
personal information you can update via myPlattsburgh
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/portal/>.

You will have the ability to select your personal pronouns (He, Him, His;
She,Her, Hers; They, Them,Theirs; Xe, Ze, Fae) as well as your gender
identity (Cisgender Female, Cisgender Male, Gender Non-Conforming,
Non-Binary). You do not have to provide your personal  pronouns or gender
identity. These updates are voluntary.

You may have noticed some individuals on campus have been providing their
pronouns via their email signatures or on Zoom already. As we move to
become an institution that makes inclusion excellent, we encourage you to
share your personal pronouns and gender identity to create a new norm.

To make updates, go to the  Personal Information section on  My Plattsburgh
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/portal/> and click on Update my Personal
Pronoun and/or Update my Gender Identity to update your pronouns and/or
gender identity.
