Course Advisement Period Messaging to Students

To faculty and staff who assist students with advising and registering,

The following announcement appeared in the Student Digest Thurs., Oct 14,
to inform students about course advisement period. Similar posts are
planned for the Student Digest during each of the two weeks of course
advisement.

COURSE ADVISEMENT TIME is coming! Time to meet with your advisor.



The COURSE ADVISEMENT period is October 25 to November 5, 2021.
Registration begins the following week.

   CHECK OUT the College & Course Advising FAQS
   <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/academics/resources/advising/course-advisement.html>
   web page, “For Students” menu to find your advisor's name & contact info,
   see how to prepare, and other useful instructions.
   -

   EMAIL your advisor now to make an appointment and/or respond to their
   outreach about making an appointment.
   -

   PREPARE for your meeting by reviewing your Degree Works report,
   searching Winter & Spring courses (My Plattsburgh>Students>Lookup Courses
   to Add), and drafting a tentative course schedule.
   -

   At your appointment, discuss midterm grades, tentative schedule, degree
   progress, and any questions you have.


By meeting with your advisor, you get the PIN code you need to register at
your assigned time.

questions.
