The Center for Interdisciplinary & Area Studies, with the Plattsburgh State
Art Museum, invites you to the first installation of a new project:
*HUMAN (viewpoints).*
Join us on Friday, November 19 @ 5pm in the Nina Winkel Sculpture Court for
an intellectual, community-building experience in a beautiful setting.
Set against the backdrop of the *The Refugee Trilogy *and flowing images
from the artist Weiwei, this first event explores* HUMAN (flow).*
*5 speakers with 5 viewpoints will speak for 5 minutes each. * Colleagues
from *History, Geography, Linguistics, and Philosophy as well as members of
the North Country community *will share their viewpoint on the issues
raised by flow: Human Flow, Dislocation, Immigration, Exile, Borders, and
more.
The Center for Interdisciplinary & Area Studies builds bridges across the
College and community by showcasing our faculty through innovative
programming.
*The HUMAN (viewpoints) project explores what happens when we look at the
world together. *
