Last Day to Nominate an Equity Advocate

Dear Colleagues,

The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Affirmative Action/Human
Resource Services would like to thank everyone that submitted nominations.
We also still encourage nominations from campus community members for
the Equity
Advocate Pilot Program

Equity Advocates (EAs) are employees that serve as consultants, resources,
and advisors to search committees and who support the search process to
engage with a set of diverse candidates. Equity Advocates work closely with
the hiring authority, the search committee chair, the Affirmative Action
Officer, and Chief Diversity Officer to advocate for principles and
practices related to diversity, inclusion and equity throughout the search.


Equity Advocates can be nominated by the College community, including
self-nomination. Nomination forms can be found here

the deadline for nominations has been extended to *Friday May 14, 2021. *


To participate in the first cohort of the Equity Advocates, nominees will
complete a comprehensive online education program on Moodle between May 24
and June 30. Please consider nominating any individual whom you believe
would be an asset to the program, including yourself!
