Dear Colleagues;
As you may know, last Friday the General Education Committee hosted a
workshop for participants in the Cardinal Foundation Seminar on
“Characteristics and Concerns of First Year Students in Fall 2021.”
Presenters for this workshop were Elizabeth Bernat (Academic Advising) and
Carrie Woodward (Admissions).
While this workshop was designed for instructors in the Foundation
Seminars, the information included will be invaluable to everyone teaching
in the Cardinal Core Curriculum - or first year students in any context -
next year. I invite you to watch the recordings of the workshop that are
now posted on the Cardinal Core Curriculum Moodle site,
https://moodle.plattsburgh.edu/mod/page/view.php?id=1583135 . You may need
to self-enroll in the course if the link does not take you directly to the
correct page.
Please feel free to explore elsewhere on the CCC site, and to send me any
questions you have or ideas for developing useful resources. As I mentioned
while introducing the workshop, we are still accepting proposals for CFS
topics for Fall 2021, and I’ll be delighted to talk with you about ideas.
Best wishes,
Wendy
Cardinal Core Curriculum Coordinator.
