Planning Committee members needed for Black Solidarity Day

As the fall semester approaches, The Office of Diversity, Equity and
Inclusion is beginning  plans for Black Solidarity Day on November 1. Last
year, Dr. Kenneth Hardy met with multiple groups to discuss racial trauma
and to connect with our communities in order to suggest actionable steps
toward racial equity. This year, we have the opportunity to host the
incredible speaker and activist, Daryl Davis. Daryl Davis is a world
renowned musician, author, lecturer and race relations expert. For over 30
years he has worked as an anti-racism activist. If you'd like to read more

We need planning committee members to prepare for this year's event. This
event would be very impactful for our campus and external community. Please
let me know your interest by Friday, July 30. There will be an initial
meeting scheduled for August 5th to discuss further and to to begin
planning for this event.
