Kehoe Masonry Restoration

Dear Campus Community,

As you may have noticed the Kehoe Administration Building is undergoing
much needed masonry renovations.  This project will impact the entire
exterior building, addressing sections of failing masonry causing water
infiltration and the repair of exposed rebar.  In addition to the
scaffolding to facilitate the masonry restoration, the project includes a
sprayed concrete finish “shotcrete” on the exposed concrete faces of the
building, as well as limited brick repointing (grinding out of deteriorated
mortar, and replacement of new mortar).  All of this work will cause noise
both outside and inside the building and cause disruption.

The scaffolding will extend from the ground level to the roof edge on the
Northwest (facing Parking Lot 9)  and Northeast (facing Parking Lot 10)
sides of the building initially, before moving to the other sides later in
the Spring of 2022.

Perimeter fencing around impacted areas and pedestrian protected building
entrances will be installed.  Please be aware of additional construction
traffic flow around the building associated with this work.  No work will
occur on Friday, June 16th, but resume on Monday, July 19th.  The work will
continue until cold weather arrives this winter, and resume Spring 2022 as
warmer weather permits.

navigate the inconveniences this work creates for the campus community.
