Jessamyn Neuhaus will lead a lunchtime roundtable discussion about how the
unprecedented challenges of teaching and learning in higher education
during the pandemic years is leading to more significant burnout for
educators. More than simply being tired or uninspired, burnout is a serious
condition that has a real impact on mental and physical health. There's no
easy solution but talking about the problem and sharing our own experiences
and strategies can help.
RESOURCE SUGGESTION: In a January 20, 2021 interview, Dr. Rebecca
Pope-Ruark discusses her forthcoming book on faculty burnout with John Kane
and Rebecca Mushtare, SUNY Oswego Center for Excellence in Learning and
Teaching, on their podcast *Tea for Teaching*:
