Cardinal Foundation Seminars: Call for Proposals and Upcoming Workshop

Dear Colleagues;

I am writing with an update on CFS 1889, the Cardinal Foundation Seminar.

*Call for Proposals:*

Up to 20 more seminars are needed to fulfill demand for the incoming class
in Fall 2021. Please consider substituting a section of CFS 1889 for a
general education course you regularly teach. Teaching faculty from
anywhere on campus are welcome to participate. There is a soft deadline of
February 20 to submit proposals for inclusion in the Fall 2021 schedule.


*Upcoming Workshop:*

The second workshop in the Cardinal Foundation Seminar series will explore
Characteristics and Concerns of Fall 2021 First Year Students and feature
Elizabeth Bernat (Academic Advising) and Carrie Woodward (Admissions). It
will be held *February 26 at 2:00 p.m (on Zoom, of course), and will be
recorded*. The opportunity to register for that workshop will be circulated
in early February.

You can find scads of information regarding the Cardinal Core Curriculum,
including how to submit a CFS Proposal, at this Moodle site (you may need
