John McMahon, assistant professor of political science at SUNY Plattsburgh,
joins Institute director Dr. Jonathan Slater in a conversation about Always
Already Podcast, a critical theory podcast John co-founded and co-hosts.

John teaches classes on political theory and the politics of race and
gender. His research interests include contemporary political thought,
feminist thought, Black political thought, and political theories of work,
labor, and neoliberalism. John's work has been published in journals such
as Political Theory, Contemporary Political Theory, New Political Science, and
the Journal of Political Science Education, among others. He holds a PhD in
political science from the CUNY Graduate Center.
