Thomas Higgins Retirement Announcement

Mr. Thomas Higgins, Computer Information Systems Unit Coordinator and
programming wizard extraordinaire in LITS, is retiring from the college
after a long and distinguished career, on December 18, 2021.

He has been a wonderful colleague, supervisor, committee member, innovation
leader, and friend to many. Tom served as a programmer, then as College
Bursar, then accepted a position as Programming Supervisor in 1998,
coming into that role just in time to help the college through the Y2K year
2000 programming crisis. He led our college through the implementation of
most of our current critical IT technologies: Banner, Degreeworks,
Touchnet, Lenel e-locks, ARGOS for dashboards, MyPlattsburgh, as well as
multiple versions and customizations for all of these through the years.
