Employee Parking Registration for the New Academic Year

Employees have different parking hang tag deadlines:

   - August 30 - new new hires and employees that did not get a tag last
   year
   - October 1 - current employees with faculty/staff tags expiring on
   09/30/21

Although deadlines are different, all employees are asked to pre-register
for parking in August to allow sufficient processing time to retrieve a new
hang tag and meet these deadlines. Refer to the specific registration

   - *Employees classified as faculty & staff, including new hires and
   emeriti*, with access to MyPlattsburgh

   tab to AUTOMOBILE REGISTRATION link] to register a vehicle, and then click
   the PAY APPLICABLE PARKING FEE IN CASHNET button to proceed to the payment
   screen. At the bottom of the payment screen, add the $30 Faculty Parking
   Reg Fee to your account (first time users set up a credit card) and proceed
   through various screens to finalize payment.

Management Confidential employees also pay a $174.20 parking fee (FPK)
directly to Student Accounts

an option for payroll deduction.


   - *Affiliate employees classified as other persons, *without access to
   MyPlattsburgh, use the online Vehicle Registration Form

   vehicle, and then prepay a $30 parking registration fee (OPR) to the
   affiliate authorized agent for bulk processing to Student Accounts
   <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/about/offices-divisions/administration-finance/about-us/offices/student-accounts.html>
   .

Other persons with annual salaries above $30,000 also pay a parking fee
(OPK) based on the affiliate's contractual agreement with the college. Some
affiliates offer payroll deduction.


   - *Volunteers* do not pay for parking upon submission of proof of HRS
   volunteer certification to parking at plattsburgh.edu, and then register
   vehicles using this Vehicle Registration Form

Hang Tags

be disbursed from the *Angell College Center between 9:00a-noon,  August
27-September 1 (except Sunday*). Affiliate employees pick up assigned tags
from their affiliiate's authorized agent.

On September 10, the remaining unclaimed faculty/staff tags will be
interoffice mailed to employee office addresses listed in Banner. To avoid
having to file an Affidavit to Report a Missing Parking Tag

your address is correct prior to the start of the new session.  After
September 10, late registrants will be required to pick up assigned tags
from UPD, Health Center, and can expect delays during this busy time of
year.

To allow sufficient time to pick up and properly display assigned tags, UPD
will expunge tickets for 'No Permit Visible'

the end of August when the vehicle is pre-registered and legally parked in
accordance with the Parking Lots & Restrictions

This grace period does not apply to unregistered or illegally parked
vehicles whereby individuals can still file an appeal
