The tradition of celebrating literary freedom continues with this
year’s *Virtual
Live Banned Books Read-Out*, October 2, 2020.
Since the inception of Banned Books Week in 1982, libraries and bookstores
throughout the country have staged local read-outs of banned and challenged
books.
It’s an important opportunity for discussing the harms of censorship, or
highlighting the value of free and open access to information.
*Event Details:*
1 p.m.-2 p.m. -- Student readers from FRS101 and Instructor Lauren Gonyea.
3 p.m.-4 p.m. -- Members of Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society and
