Please allow this email to serve as follow-up to our recent
announcement regarding Part One of our three-part series for fall 2020
titled, "Conversations on Canada". Please find details below on the first
presentation featuring Dr. Christopher Kirkey, Director/Center for the
Study of Canada and Institute on Québec Studies at SUNY Plattsburgh:

Presentation Title:
"Why is Donald Trump Mad at Canada?: Understanding American Foreign Policy
toward Canada"

Abstract:
Does America's president have a special dislike toward Canada? This
conversation examines the forces that animate President Trump's policies
toward Canada - policies that are rooted in a unique worldview in which
Canada, as a neighbor and ally, is hailed as a partner that unfairly
mistreats the United States.

Presenter's Short Bio:
Christopher Kirkey is Director of the Center for the Study of Canada and
Institute on Québec Studies at the State University of New York College at
Plattsburgh and serves as President of the Association for Canadian Studies
in the United States (ACSUS).
