Don’t Wait Til November 3rd!
This year New York State has instituted three ways to vote. These are
in-person early voting, vote on election day or by submitting an absentee
ballot. In this post, I will be reviewing why you shouldn’t wait til
November 3rd to vote.
As in other posts, please remember that this information is for voting in
New York State. If you need to know more information about your states

To participate in early voting, you must be a registered voter in Clinton
County. To change your voter registration start here: clicking here

Why choose to early vote?
Early voting is quick, easy and convenient. It allows you to avoid the
lines and vote on the weekend! It’s 9 days long, which gives you plenty of
choice of when to vote. Two of those 9 days also have extended hours, where
the polls are open til 8pm! In addition for those of you living/working in
Plattsburgh its located conveniently at the Government Center. An easy walk
from campus.
Early Voting Begins October 24th:
Early Voting in New York is 9 days long, starting Saturday, October 24th.
With 4 out of 5 of those days being a weekend option. Early voting
starts October
24th and continues until Sunday, November 1st.
Where can I vote early?
All early voting is happening at the Government Center, right in downtown
Plattsburgh.

If you have opted to participate in Absentee Voting (click here

the early voting location. Please remember that your ballot must be for
Clinton County. All other Absentee Ballots will need to be mailed out.

What times are early voting happening?
Here is the breakdown for early voting times:
Weekends: 9am-2pm
MWF: 9am-5pm
TTH: 9am-8pm (extended hours!)
If you have a crazy work or school schedule, and have a hard time
remembering to fill out an absentee ballot application, then early voting
may be the right solution for you! It’s quick, the lines are low and with
plenty of convenient days and times available, makes voting a breeze. To
participate in early voting here in Clinton County, be sure to register or
