Friday, September 18 is the deadline for students to apply for a change in
their residency status for tuition purposes this fall semester. Students
who believe they are eligible for in-state tuition but are currently being
charged the out-of-state tuition rate need to:
-
complete an application
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/_documents/cost-aid/nys-tuition-residency-application.pdf>
,
-
provide at least three documents in support of their application,
-
and send their application and documents to Student Accounts.
To learn more about eligibility, go to the residency home page
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/cost-aid/tuition/tuition-policy.html>.
Residency applications received or postmarked after Friday, September 18
will be considered for the following term. Students can submit the
residency application by:
- emailing their application and supporting documents as PDF attachments
to MyAccount at plattsburgh.edu,
- bringing these materials to our cashier windows on the first floor of
the Kehoe Administration Building, or
- mailing them to Student Accounts.
Out-of-state students who are enrolled in an online program or are only
taking online courses this semester may be eligible for the special online,
out-of-state tuition rate. To learn about eligibility, go to the residency
home page <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/cost-aid/tuition/tuition-policy.html>.
Students who read the eligibility requirements and believe they qualify
should contact Student Accounts at MyAccount at plattsburgh.edu and ask for
this online, out-of-state tuition rate.
