H.U.B. Election Watch Party: Volunteers Needed!

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to ask for volunteers who are interested in holding space on
election night on campus to be a presence physically and virtually to
students who are worried about potential tension surrounding the election.

We are fast approaching election night amidst a divisive political climate.
Some students have expressed their fears about both the campus climate
leading up to the election and the days and weeks after the election as we
await  results. As tensions are likely to be highest on election night, we
would like to create a BRAVE space on campus on the evening of election
night. We are seeking volunteers to be present in the H.U.B for a Watch
Party on the evening of election night. You would be volunteering alongside
staff and administration to do the following:

   -

    Provide a visual reminder to our students that we value their wellbeing.
   -

   Serve as a sounding board for students needing to express concern when
   necessary.

We will cap volunteers who can be in person to 3 and have the remainder of
volunteers hold space via zoom.
