Dept of Theatre's 2nd episode of The Importance of Being Earnest: A Wilde Adaptation streams live Friday Oct 16th at 12PM

Join us for The Importance of Being Earnest: A Wilde Adaptation. This
witty, hilarious, but earnest revamp of Oscar Wilde’s play explores gender
roles and their social value. How does gender identification, expression
and alliance, give one access to power?


For the 2nd episode of this special 3-part series of performances, the cast
will offer our adaptation from their dorm rooms, apartments, and family
homes. They will bring Wilde's play to life for a whole new audience with
ingenuity and creativity in the time of social distancing. Each of the
three acts is directed by a different student director: Mason Barber, Jhada
Ann Walker, and Caleb Eugley.

The 2nd episode will stream LIVE at 12 PM EDT on Friday, Oct 16, and the
final episode will stream on Oct 30 on Zoom. A recording of the livestream
will be available until December 11, 2020 – then it disappears.
