Town Hall on Plattsburgh Going Test Optional

As you may know, SUNY has suspended testing requirements for all
undergraduate applicants seeking to matriculate in spring 2021, fall 2021
and spring 2022.  Admissions, working with other administrative personnel,
are considering the wisdom of making this suspension permanent at
Plattsburgh.  Admissions has reached out to our Senate's Academic Policies
committee towards a Faculty Senate vote backing the initiative.  The plan
was presented at the November 3rd meeting.  After discussion, the Senate
expressed a desire for further discussion.  This town hall will be open to
all senators and the campus at large.  We will have the briefest of reports
to review the initiative, followed by Q and A.  The language of the
resolution will also be presented.
