This semester, the Jewish Studies Program at SUNY Plattsburgh recorded the
first three conversations in a continuing series of exchanges devoted to
topics relevant to Jewish life in the 21st century.
Dr. Zakir Gul speaks about The Base
SUNY Plattsburgh criminal justice associate professor Dr. Zakir Gul speaks
with SUNY Plattsburgh’s Jewish Studies Program director Dr. Jonathan Slater
about The Base, an ultra-right-wing extremist group taking root in America.
Conversation with Dr. Carolin Aronis
Dr. Jonathan Slater, director of SUNY Plattsburgh’s Jewish Studies Program
talks with Dr. Carolin Aronis about her new roles at Colorado State
University as CSU Special Adviser on Prevention of Antisemitism and
Co-Chair, Presidential Task Force on Jewish Inclusion and the Prevention of
Antisemitism.
Conversation with Rabbi Ayelet Cohen
Rabbi Ayelet Cohen is rabbi at Congregation Beit Simchat Torah, New York
City, the world's first and largest congregation for LGBTQ Jews and allies.
Dr. Howard Gontovnick, who teaches in SUNY Plattsburgh's Jewish Studies
Program, interviews Rabbi Cohen.
