Call for Applications - Alumni in the Classroom Experience

The Alumni in the Classroom Experience (ACE) was established with the
financial support of the Plattsburgh Alumni Association and Plattsburgh
College Foundation to provide resources to faculty to bring alumni into the
classroom.

With more than 70,000 alumni, we have access to many individuals who have
accomplished careers in their chosen fields and a deep love for SUNY
Plattsburgh. Their expertise, life experience and diverse voices can
provide value and inspiration to our students.

Due to the need to reduce in-person contact as a result of the COVID-19
virus, the ACE program is not able to support in-person alumni visits at
this time. We can, however, support virtual visits and are offering
increased support in identifying alumni to serve as ACE visitors. We have
also simplified the application process for added convenience.


As in past years, applicants may design and coordinate the visit that works
for their goals. This may be a guest lecture in one class, a full day of
activities, or multiple engagements over a series of days.


Alumni who are invited to participate will be acknowledged as ACE
participants and receive a letter of appreciation and small thank you gift
from the Office of Alumni Relations.

The application deadline for alumni visits occurring during the Fall 2020
semester is Sept. 30. To apply, go to alumni.plattsburgh.edu/aceapp. After
the deadline has passed, applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
