Good morning,
We have been notified of a high-temperature hot water (HTHW) leak in a
manhole located behind Harrington Hall.
L.H. LaPlante is on site and has identified the issue. Parts are being
procured, and repairs are underway.
As a result, Zone 1 has been shut down, impacting the following buildings:
-
Sibley Hall
-
All residence halls
-
Clinton Dining Hall
-
Champlain Valley Hall
-
Angell College Center
-
Myers Fine Arts Building
-
Memorial Hall
-
University Police/Health Center
-
Saranac Hall
Facilities have begun transitioning to electric domestic hot water to
maintain access to showers. At this time, there are no concerns regarding
building temperatures; however, spaces may feel slightly cooler than usual
but will remain within a manageable range.
It is not yet clear whether repairs will be completed today or require
additional time. We will continue to provide updates as more information
becomes available.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to restore service
and minimize disruption as quickly as possible.
