[Important Information for Students] Timely Warning Update- Burglary Suspect Arrested

Campus Community,

This morning, University Police arrested an unaffiliated male at an
off-campus location in the City of Plattsburgh in connection with the
burglaries at Ward Hall and Ausable Hall overnight on 1/6.

For awareness, photos of the suspect as he appeared during the burglaries
are being shared. If you observed this individual on campus or have
information that may be relevant to this investigation, please contact
University Police at (518) 564-2022.

As a reminder, members of the campus community can assist in preventing
future incidents by:

   -

   Locking office and workspace doors when leaving for the evening;
   -

   Securing personal and state-owned valuables in locked drawers or
   cabinets; and
   -

   Ensuring exterior doors are fully closed and secured when exiting
   buildings. If there is a mechanical issue preventing a door from closing
   properly, please contact University Police.
