[Important Information for Students] Timely Warning – Burglary Incident in Ward Hall and Ausable Hall

Campus Community,

University Police are investigating a burglary that occurred overnight in
Ward Hall and Ausable Hall. A tall, slender white male, believed to be in
his late 20s to early 30s, unlawfully entered both buildings after hours
and removed property without permission.

The individual was last seen wearing an orange-colored hoodie and
dark-colored cargo pants at approximately 7:00 a.m. this morning, January
7th.

If you observe a person matching this description or have information
related to this incident, please contact *University Police immediately at
(518) 564-2022*.

Members of the campus community can assist in preventing further incidents
by:

   -

   Locking office and workspace doors when leaving for the evening;
   -

   Securing personal and state-owned valuables in locked drawers or
   cabinets; and
   -

   Ensuring exterior doors are fully closed and secured when exiting
   buildings. *(If there is a mechanical issue preventing a door from
   closing properly, please contact University Police.)*
