Good morning.

We will be hosting our finalists for the Vice President for Diversity,
Equity and Inclusion position on May 4, 5, 6, and 7.  We invite the entire
campus community to participate in the candidate public presentations,
which will take place from 12:00–12:45 PM each day in Yokum Hall 208.

Each candidate has been provided this specific prompt for their
presentation:

As SUNY Plattsburgh begins developing its next strategic plan, the Vice
President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will play a central role in
shaping institutional priorities and ensuring that equity-minded practices
are embedded across all areas of the University.

With this in mind, please present two high-impact, institution-wide DEI
goals you would recommend for inclusion in the strategic plan. For each
goal, clearly articulate:

   -

   The rationale and why this goal is critical at this moment in higher
   education
   -

   Specific, measurable objectives that define success
   -

   Actionable strategies/tactics to achieve these objectives
   -

   How would you engage campus stakeholders (students, faculty, staff, and
   external partners) in advancing this work, and
   -

   Metrics or indicators you would use to assess progress and ensure
   accountability

Presentations will be approximately 15  minutes in length, followed by
ample time for Q&A with the campus community.

   -

   Candidates’ CVs will be available two business days prior to each visit.
   -

   Feedback surveys will be available during each candidate’s visit.
   -

   CVs and surveys will be removed 24 hours after each candidate’s visit,
   so please complete your feedback promptly.
