[Important Information for Students] Mourning the Loss of Jahmal Ford '26

Dear Campus Community,

It is with great sadness that I share the news that Jahmal “Jah” Ford, a
member of the Class of 2026, passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2025.

Jahmal was a Medical Technology major from Saranac Lake, New York. He was
known to so many as warm, compassionate, and deeply thoughtful. A proud
graduate of Saranac Lake High School, Jahmal was deeply loved by a wide
circle of relatives and friends who will miss him profoundly. He is
described by those who knew him as someone who made others feel seen and
cared for, someone who brought calm and kindness into every space he
entered.
