[Important Information for Students] Commencement Reminder: Ceremony Times, Tickets, and Next Steps

Dear Spring 2025 Graduates,

As a reminder, the main campus Commencement will take place on Saturday,
May 17, 2025, in the Field House gymnasium (167 Rugar Street, Plattsburgh,
NY 12901). Graduates will participate based on the school of their major:

   -

   9:00 a.m. – School of Arts and Sciences

   -

   12:00 p.m. – School of Business and Economics

   -

   3:00 p.m. – School of Education, Health and Human Services


Please arrive at least 45 minutes before your ceremony and check in on the
main level of the Stafford Ice Arena within the Field House.

Guest Tickets

Each graduate receives seven tickets, available for pickup BEGINNING April
22 through Friday, May 16 at the following locations in the Angell College
Center:

   -

   The Angell College Center Window: 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

   -

   Center for Student Involvement: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

   -

   Online Students ONLY may pick up their tickets on Saturday, May 17 after
   8:15 a.m. at the SUNY Plattsburgh Field House Lobby Ticket Table

If you need more than seven tickets, we encourage you to connect with
classmates or post a request in a shared space.

Regalia

   -

   Caps and gowns may be purchased through the campus bookstore, in-store
   or online <https://www.bkstr.com/sunyplattsburghstore/shop/graduation>.
   -

   Honor Cords can be purchased directly from most Honor Society websites.
   Please reach out to the Advisor of the Honor Society of the Major in which
   you are enrolled. If you need the name of the Honor Society, your academic
   advisor should be able to provide the information and direct you to the
   appropriate contact person.

Creating a Great Commencement Experience

Commencement is a special occasion to celebrate your achievements with
friends, family, and the campus community. To help create a positive and
enjoyable experience for everyone, we ask that you show consideration to
those around you and avoid bringing distracting items such as:

   -

   Balloons
   -

   Signs
   -

   Air horns or other noise-makers
   -

   Laser pointers
   -

   Flyers, posters, or flags
