[Important Information for Students] National Transfer Student Week

What do President Barack Obama, space shuttle pilot Eileen Collins, WNBA
legend Sheryl Swoopes, director Steven Spielberg, baseball Hall-of-famer
Jackie Robinson, and renowned actress Lucy Liu all have in common? They
were all transfer students!


One in four students in our Cardinal family come to SUNY Plattsburgh having
begun their academic journey elsewhere. Transfer students arrive from
countries spread across the globe, from throughout the United States and
from all parts of New York State, and they bring to campus new perspectives
and life experiences that enrich our campus in innumerable ways. I’m
delighted that so many transfer students have joined us here and hope that
encouraging transfer students to share perspectives with non-transfer
students will enrich our entire community.


This year we are celebrating the contributions of transfer students to our
campus by marking National Transfer Student Week
