Good morning Cardinals;

I’m so excited to be writing to you today as we are almost at the start of
the Spring 2024 semester. I wanted to take the opportunity to welcome each
of you back to campus and to specifically welcome our new community members
who are joining us. (New students, you’ll be getting some very specific
information from me later about joining the Plattsburgh community).

We can’t wait to see you all very soon, as you are the reason we are here.
You matter to us, and your futures matter to us. Below is some information
I wanted you all to have before returning in a few weeks.

*On-campus Student arrival:*

*Retuning On-campus students* can return directly to their assigned
Residence Hall room January 27. ID Cards will be activated at 8:00 a.m.

*New On-campus students* can arrive on either Saturday, January 27 or
Sunday, January 28 and should proceed directly to the front entrance of
their assigned Residence Hall from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to check-in.

*Opening Information:*

Please visit the Opening Week page
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/current-students/opening-week-information.html> to
find specific hours for services over the first week (including Opening
weekend) and to find answers to specific questions related to opening.

*Reminders:*

Be on the lookout for information coming in the next few weeks related to
the Campus Winter Celebration taking place in the month of February. We
will have several winter related activities, inside and out, for you to
take advantage of including WinterFest, on Saturday, February 10 around
Hawkins Pond. This event will feature some outdoor activities including
the Burrrrrrrrghy Plunge.

We hope that each of you has a safe and productive Spring semester. Please
make sure that you take the time to plan things out, adjust, if need be,
from your routine last semester, and keep yourself and others safe and
healthy. Be reminded that each student at SUNY Plattsburgh is bound
by the Student
Conduct Manual
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/about/offices-divisions/student-affairs/student-conduct/manual.html>
and
all other policies and regulations in place at the College.

Please travel safely back to campus, we are indeed excited for your
return. If I can be helpful please let me know. My office is in the
Angell College Center, within the Center for Student Involvement.
