[Important Information for Students] May 2023 Commencement Information

For Class of 2023 May Graduates .....

We are looking forward to honoring graduates at one of the commencement
events planned for Saturday, May 20. Each program will be held in the Field
House gymnasium. Graduates will participate based on the school of
their major.

   - 9 a.m.: School of Education, Health and Human Services
   - Noon : School of Business and Economics
   - 3 p.m.: School of Arts and Sciences

*Guest Tickets*
Graduates will receive six guest tickets each for their ceremony. Maximizing
attendance for graduates' friends and families, as well as changes in the
number of graduates in each school, necessitated the move to three
ceremonies from the two held pre-pandemic.

Physical tickets will be distributed to graduates beginning Monday, May 1
in the Angell College Center. The campus' online ticketing system is
offline and cannot be used for this event.

Details on ticket distribution will be shared to graduates in April and
posted online at plattsburgh.edu/commencement.

*Speakers, Livestream*
As is tradition, the Honors Council selects student speakers to address
their classmates at the commencement ceremonies.

If you are interested in speaking, please send an email with your intent to
Christine Landry at goke1931 at plattsburgh.edu. Details on deadlines will be
shared with graduates and posted when available. Questions? Please contact

Each event will be available via livestream from the university website.
Recordings will also be online after the program. Additional details are
