Dear Students,
Over the past 3 days, the Student Health & Counseling Center has observed a
sudden increase in COVID cases among students living both on and off campus.
-
If you have respiratory symptoms (nasal congestion, sore throat, cough),
mask up and take an at-home rapid antigen test; test kits are available in
the Student Health & Counseling Center lobby, ACC information desk, and
bookstore lobby. On-campus students may also obtain test kits in the Duty
Office, located in each residence hall. We recommend that you test no more
than once every 24 hours.
-
If you have respiratory symptoms, and want an appointment with one of
our medical providers, *you will be asked to test for COVID prior to the
appointment. *You can schedule an appointment by contacting us
Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM at (518) 564-2187 or at
healthcenter at plattsburgh.edu
-
Students who test positive should follow the campus guidelines
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/covid-19/index.html> and self-isolate. While
students are no longer required to report their positive test results to
the Health Center, please contact us if you have any questions.
-
If you have severe symptoms (i.e. shortness of breath with chest pain),
call 911 or dial University Police at (518) 564-2022.
Basic health and hygiene practices, like handwashing, can help protect you
from COVID and other respiratory illnesses. For more information on how to
protect yourself and others from COVID, click here

Stay well,
