[Important Information for Students] Eye Drop Recall

Dear SUNY Plattsburgh students,

If you obtained Tobramycin antibiotic eye drops from the Student Health &
Counseling Center between August 2022 and May 2023, and are still holding
onto the bottle, please discard the remaining medication by taking it to a
local pharmacy or bringing it to Student Health for disposal. The following
bottles of Tobramycin have been recalled from Alembic Pharmaceuticals:

   - Tobramycin Lot #: AMR103 with expiration date 10/2023
   - Tobramycin Lot #: AMR201 with expiration date 06/2024

This medication has been recalled by the manufacturer due to long term
storage concerns and should not be used from this date forward. No adverse
medical effects have been reported at this time. If you have any questions,
please contact us at healthcenter at plattsburgh.edu
