[Important Information for Students] Matriculation Ceremony - Venue Change

Good Morning!  I hope you are all as excited to return to campus as we all
are to have you return.  I'm writing today specifically to our incoming
students, First Year and Transfer, with an update regarding the New Student
Matriculation Ceremony.


We have moved the New Student matriculation Ceremony to the SUNY
Plattsburgh Field House Gymnasium
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/athletics/facilities/field-house.html>.  The
date and time of the ceremony has not changed, today, Friday, August 25, at
4:00 PM, just the location.


*New On-campus Students:*

You will still walk to the Fieldhouse from your Residence Hall.  Please
plan to be in front of your Residence Hall at 3:30 PM to walk to the
Fieldhouse.  Make sure to wear your "Rock the Red" shirts you'll receive at
your Residence Hall Check-in to this ceremony.


*New Commuting Students:*

Please make every effort to be in the Fieldhouse for the ceremony by 3:50
PM.  I have attached to this email the campus map that shows the Field
house (# 38 in the box on the right hand side of the map).  The complex is
located about an 1/8 of a mile west of the main campus right on Rugar
Street, just past Plattsburgh High School.  Please park in the large lots
in front of the Fieldhouse.  A reminder that you can pick up your Rock the
Red T-shirts, in the Center for Student Involvement, located in the Angell
College Center (#32 on the attached map), today, August 24 from 9:00 AM -
12:00 PM and tomorrow, Friday, 25, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30
PM.  Please wear these shirts to the ceremony on Friday.


Immediately following the Ceremony, we will take our incoming class photo.
The Ceremony and photo should be wrapped up by 5:15 PM.  I can't wait to
see you all later this week.  Remember that everyday is a great day to be a
Cardinal!
