*Now is the time to check with your advisor* about taking the Information
Literacy Competency (LIB) Exam

This exam provides an alternative way for you to meet the LIB190 course
requirement
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/academics/library/instruction-reference/lib-190.html>
. It's an online proctored exam, and by passing it, you meet the
Information Literacy General Education/Cardinal Core requirement, but do
not receive the credit hour.

You can take the exam more than once, but only once in any academic year
(August–May). Students who have a grade of E or W for the LIB course can
meet the requirement by passing the exam; however, the exam does not remove
or replace the letter grade.

*Main Campus -- *All spring 2022 exams will be held in *Feinberg Library
room 108* on the following dates:

   - Tuesday, April 5th at 12:30 p.m.
   - Wednesday, April 6th at 3:30 p.m.
   - Thursday, April 14th at 5 p.m.
   - Friday, April 15th at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m.

*Extended-time examinations through Student Support Services*
If you are eligible for this service, please work with extended-time
examination coordinator, Laura Cronk, to schedule a day and time for your
exam.

*Distance Learners*
Students are responsible for identifying a suitable proctor and location
for the exam. The exam is offered through Moodle, so the proctoring site
must have a computer and Internet access. Details including links to the
Proctor Agreement Form can be found at the bottom of the exam web page
