Dear Cardinals,

We are sharing details for spring semester as we look forward to welcoming
you back to campus soon.

Students at all SUNY campuses who are eligible to receive a booster are now
required to get one. If you are eligible, and have not received a booster
or scheduled one, please do so now.

Here are some other key items to know about boosters:

   -

   Up-to-Date Status
Students using campus for any reason are required to have up-to-date
COVID vaccinations. You accomplish this by being fully vaccinated and then
getting a booster when eligible. Boosters require two weeks to be fully
effective, so get boosted before the start of classes on January 31st.
   -

   Locations
You can make an appointment online. Schedule an appointment
<https://www.vaccines.gov/> today at the booster location nearest you.

   -

   Proof of Booster Shot
When you have proof of your booster shot, you must submit it online at:
   https://machform.plattsburgh.edu/view.php?id=366894

   -

   Eligibility
You are eligible to receive a booster now if:
   -

You received the Pfizer-BioNTech initial vaccine series or the
Moderna initial vaccine series at least five months ago
      -

You received the initial vaccine dose of Janssen/Johnson & Johnson
COVID-19 vaccine at least two months ago
      -

      You received your WHO-approved vaccine
      <https://covid19.trackvaccines.org/agency/who/> or vaccine series at
      least five months ago

   -

   Exemptions

   -

If you had a medical or religious exemption last semester, that
exemption will carry over to the spring 2022 semester.
   -

We understand that some students who are booster eligible will not be
able to receive one before January 31st, or have recently had COVID. A
process for temporary booster exemptions is being developed and will be
shared as soon as it becomes available.

Please continue to monitor your email and the COVID-19 Campus Updates
webpage <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/covid-19/index.html> for ongoing
updates and information.

And remember: A booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will help all eligible
students maximize their protection, prolong the vaccine’s durability and
continue to safeguard our campus and communities against the virus.
