Greetings Cardinals!

First, for those students returning to campus; welcome back! For those
students that are now embarking on their journey here at SUNY Plattsburgh;
welcome! We are very excited to have you join our campus and greater
community!

As with any community, there is a need to outline the expectations of what
is and is not acceptable behavior. As we begin the fall semester we want to
remind you of the importance of adhering to SUNY Plattsburgh's expectations
as outlined in the conduct manuals. Our office is here to help. Here is our
mission statement:

"The Student Conduct Office will provide an educational and impartial
adjudication process for the College Community, address reported conduct
violations of students, student organizations, and intercollegiate athletic
teams, and will promote personal, ethical, and social development while
preserving the rights of all individuals involved."

The Student Conduct Office ensures that all students are provided with due
process in compliance with the Student and Group Conduct Manuals. As such,
I am reminding you all to be familiar with these important documents.

Please know that:


   - ALL students are bound by the contents of the Student Conduct Manual.
   - ALL intercollegiate athletic teams and ALL recognized clubs &
   organizations with student membership are bound by the contents of the
   Group Conduct Manual.

The college is and will continue to use the Student Conduct Manual to
address all violations, including COVID-related violations such as
non-compliance with the social distancing and face covering policy.  Your
conduct can negatively impact others and the decisions you make can affect
the health and safety of others and have serious consequences.

Please be smart, take responsibility for your actions, and be aware of the
impact you have on others.  Feel free to contact me with any comments,
questions, or concerns.
