Dear Cardinals,

Pooled surveillance testing for COVID-19 continues on Tuesday and Wednesday
this week. It is critical that students who come onto campus to live, eat,
attend classes, etc. participate in these tests.

When you receive an email invitation to pool testing, you need to attend
during the time you are assigned. The saliva test is quick and easy. Most
importantly, regular testing allows the campus to identify those who have
been infected with the virus so that they can be quickly isolated to
mitigate further spread. We all share the same goal - to stay together on
campus through November 20. We must all do everything we can if we are to
safely reach this mark, including pool testing regularly.

As a reminder, as of October 1, the SUNY system put into place uniform
standards for student violations of health and safety policies related to
COVID-19. These are being applied across the 64-campus network, including
our campus. Included in these standards are consequences for Failure to
Comply with Campus Health Protocols.

If you do not participate in pool testing when requested, you may face
disciplinary action including interim suspension or other administrative
measures that restrict your access to campus.

It is now even more important than ever that we continue to utilize the
strategies that have helped us to be successful in maintaining health and
safety on campus. Please continue to wear your mask, maintain social
distance, wash your hands frequently and avoid large gatherings.

We are so proud of the efforts you have made so far this semester and hope
that you will continue to do all that you can to keep yourself and others
safe and healthy. Be on the lookout for emails about the pool testing
program.
