President for Enrollment & Student Success.
Dear Students,
We have just two weeks left before Thanksgiving Break. Thank you for all
you have done, and continue to do, to keep our community safe this
semester. To ensure that you remain healthy and are able to return home,
please make sure you read the important instructions below regarding Fall
Departure Testing and NYS Travel Restrictions.
Fall Departure Testing
This week, November 11-13, the campus will host mandatory COVID-19 testing.
If you take one or more in-person classes, live on campus, utilize
on-campus services, OR work on campus, you MUST be tested prior to leaving.
-
Exceptions and further detail are online on our COVID-19 page
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/covid-19/index.html> under the ‘Fall
Departure Testing’ tab
-
Questions? Please contact the Student Health & Counseling Center at
healthcenter at plattsburgh.edu
Students who fail to follow the requirements for departure testing will be
referred to the Student Conduct Office.
Travel Restrictions
Several positive cases on our campus are linked to students who have
traveled away from campus and returned to campus with the virus. For your
health and the health of the community, nonessential travel is highly
discouraged.

Let’s work together to finish this semester Cardinal Strong! Please
continue to follow the Cardinal Pledge, stay vigilant and follow the Fall
Departure Plan.

I will wear a mask, practice social distancing, wash my hands, avoid large
social gatherings/parties, stay home when sick and inform the health center.
