[Important Information for Queensbury Campus Students] BRANCH CAMPUS CRITICAL: Register for COVID-19 Mandated Pool Testing

To our Queensbury Campus students:

As a reminder (see forwarded email below), the state-mandated directive for
all in-person students to be vaccinated on all SUNY campuses

is effective immediately. Students should plan to be vaccinated or submit
and receive clearance for exemption by September 27.

*Starting this week*, students must participate in SUNY Adirondack's
surveillance testing *weekly* if *unvaccinated *and *monthly *if *vaccinated.
Please see links below and schedule your test this week. *

Please note testing is available at two locations. Queensbury = SUNY
Adirondack's student center and Saratoga = SUNY Adirondack's Saratoga
Campus. Please register to test at the more convenient location for you.

To our Queensbury Campus Students:

SUNY Plattsburgh’s fall semester begins this Monday, August 30 and we are
eager to welcome you back for in-person instruction and activities. Your
health and safety and the safety of our community continue to inform our
decisions regarding a safe return to campus.

SUNY Vaccine Mandate

The recent Delta variant has created a marked increase in cases across the
country, which means the COVID-19 pandemic unfortunately is not over. With
the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s full approval of the Pfizer
COVID-19 vaccine, the state-mandated directive for all students to be
vaccinated on all SUNY campuses

is effective immediately.

This requires that all students who access any in-person activities,
classes, or facilities on campus must complete a COVID-19 vaccination
series (i.e., one dose of a single dose series or both doses of a two-dose
series) or apply for an exemption.

This shall be completed no later than Monday, September 27. Failure to
comply will result in being removed from in-person classes.

COVID vaccines are readily available at many pharmacies and retail stores.

SUNY Vaccine Exemption

Exemptions to the vaccination requirement may be permitted for students who
have an approved medical reason, an approved religious reason, temporarily
for those students who are in process of receiving full vaccination, or
have fully remote/online schedules and will not be accessing any campus
facilities at SUNY Adirondack or SUNY Plattsburgh. To submit an exemption

Reporting Vaccination Status

All SUNY students should report their vaccination status through the
secure, online SUNY site, available at
https://suny.edu/StudentVaccinationPass. Please use your plattsburgh email
address and be sure to use the same name, date of birth, and phone number
you used to sign up for your vaccination.

Mask Mandate

Informed by the CDC and NYS guidelines for the reopening of higher
education, face coverings must be worn at all times in indoor public
settings. Face coverings must fit snugly and cover the nose and mouth. The
use of face shields in addition to cloth face coverings and disposable
masks are permitted, but not instead of.

Ongoing Health Screenings

Although mandatory daily health screenings are no longer required for
vaccinated individuals, *all *individuals are reminded to check their
health before entering SUNY Adirondack’s campus buildings by way of posted
signage. If you feel unwell and have any COVID-19 symptoms, do not report
to campus. Notify your professor why you are not in class and make up your
work accordingly.

Surveillance Testing Requirements

While in process of completing the vaccination series students will be
subject to weekly COVID-19 testing until you are considered fully
vaccinated, which is 14 days after your last vaccination dose. Once fully
vaccinated, students will be required to test once monthly as a
precautionary measure.

SUNY Adirondack will begin surveillance testing in the student center,
starting Wednesday, September 1. Links to register for a test slot will be
forthcoming. New students unfamiliar with the testing process and advanced
preparation can review information at: bit.ly/3B8qipR.

It is the responsibility of the student to complete testing each week as
long as they remain unvaccinated or are not yet fully vaccinated. Students
who do not comply with mandatory testing will be subject to the Student
Conduct process.

At this time, 97% (and counting) of SUNY Adirondack and SUNY Plattsburgh at
Queensbury employees have been vaccinated. Thank you for doing your part to
