Subject: BRANCH CAMPUS: On-Campus COVID Testing & Protocols

To our Queensbury Campus Students:

We are excited to welcome you to the spring 2021 semester! Although we
continue to operate differently than usual, our commitment to your success
remains unchanged.

SEMESTER START

The semester will begin with all-remote classes on Monday, Feb. 1. Any
in-person classes that started remote on Feb. 1 will transition to
in-person on Monday, Feb. 15. For students cross-registered for any classes
with SUNY Adirondack, their semester begins Feb. 1 too.

TESTING PRIOR TO START

State University of New York (SUNY) requires all campuses to test all
students who will take at least one in-person class, live on campus, or
regularly be on campus for other reasons prior to the start of the semester.

There are three critical steps to take:

   1.

Beginning Feb. 1, two weeks before you return to campus, you must
complete the campus’ daily Health Screening form
   <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/about/offices-divisions/administration-finance/human-resources/health-screening-covid-19.html>each
   day online.
   2.

Beginning Mon. Feb. 8, seven days before you return to campus, you are
asked to limit your exposure to others via precautionary quarantine. SUNY
is directing students to submit an electronic attestation
   <https://www.plattsburgh.edu/about/offices-divisions/administration-finance/human-resources/health-screening-covid-19.html>
form that they have done so, to be added to the web soon.
   3.

Prior to any in-person classes Feb. 15, you must have done one of the
   following:
   1.

Present evidence of a negative PCR COVID-19 test taken within three
days prior to return via email to branchcampus at plattsburgh.edu, or
      2.

Participate in on-campus COVID-19 testing as soon as possible but no
later than five days of returning to campus and have a negative
test result
prior to attending face to face classes, or
      3.

Present documentation of a positive diagnostic result for COVID-19
from the prior three-month period via email to
      branchcampus at plattsburgh.edu.

SUNY Adirondack pooled surveillance testing for COVID-19 will be conducted
Feb. 8 - Feb. 12 for those needing to fulfill that requirement. LINK TO

ONGOING WEEKLY TESTING

After the initial round of testing, all students enrolled in at least one,
in-person class, will continue to be tested using the pooled, saliva based
testing protocol on a weekly interval beginning February 15. This
surveillance testing is an important preventative measure to monitor the
virus spread in our community. No testing exceptions will be made. To view

protocols, click
