[Important Information for Employees] Campus Notification - Seasonal Transition from Cooling to Heating Systems

Campus Notice

Dear Campus Community,

As we transition into the fall season, the Central Heating Plant (CHP) is
closely monitoring outdoor temperatures, particularly overnight lows, as we
prepare for the annual changeover from cooling to heating operations.

Over the coming weeks, CHP will begin shutting down water-cooled cooling
systems and bringing building heating systems online for the winter season.
Once these cooling systems are shut down, they will not be reactivated
until spring.

We recognize that warmer weather may still occur during the fall months. As
a result, some buildings may experience warmer-than-normal indoor
temperatures during these periods. We appreciate your patience and
understanding as we complete this necessary seasonal transition.

The following buildings will be most affected by the changeover:

   Kehoe

   Yokum
   -

   Myers
   -

   Clinton Dining
   -

   Beaumont
   -

   Feinberg Library
   -

   AuSable Hall
   -

   Angell College Center

As heating systems are activated, please report any heating-related
concerns or unusual building conditions through the appropriate campus
maintenance reporting process so they can be addressed promptly.

upcoming heating season.
