[Important Information for Plattsburgh Campus Students] COVID Cases | Sunday Update

Dear Campus Community,

The college recorded seven new positive COVID-19 cases on Sunday, all but
one from the final set of pool testing samples from last week. Campus
pooled surveillance testing continues tomorrow.

Over the past 14 days, 74 total cases have been recorded, with 39 cases
remaining active and 35 since recovered. Based on public health guidance,
49 students and employees are in quarantine -- 13 on-campus and 36
off-campus.

We respect the privacy of those in isolation and quarantine and will
support them. If you are aware, please also respect their privacy.

Specific pooled test results are reported to students, faculty and staff
directly only if they are part of a positive pool. Reflex testing is then
used to determine who may actually be positive. Center staff then notifies
all contacted individuals of their reflex testing results when received
from SUNY Upstate Medical.

We encourage you to take steps daily to ensure the safety for you and all
around you. Wear a mask, practice social distancing, wash your hands, avoid
large social gatherings, and stay home when sick. More information is
