[Important Information for Plattsburgh Campus Students] COVID Cases | Tuesday Update

Dear Campus Community,

The college recorded one positive COVID-19 case on Tuesday. Over the past
14 days, 58 total cases have been recorded, with nine cases active and 49
recovered.

Based on public health guidance, nine students are in quarantine -- one
on-campus and eight off-campus. We respect the privacy of those in
isolation and quarantine and will support them. If you are aware, please
also respect their privacy.

SUNY Upstate Medical University reports pooled test results directly to
students, faculty and staff via email when they are completed. These come
to your registered email address. You will be given a link to follow, log
in, and see your result. It will be either presumed negative or positive.


If your result is presumed negative, you need take no further action. If
your result is positive, you will be contacted by the Student Health and
Counseling Center or the Clinton County Health Department with further
details. If you get the notification email before being contacted, we ask
you to self-isolate and contact your health care professional or the health
center at 518-564-2187 or healthcenter at plattsburgh.edu.


We are uncertain whether another campus vaccine clinic will be added this
semester. SUNY, following the recommendation of the U.S. FDA, CDC, and the
state Department of Health, has paused administering the Johnson & Johnson
one-shot vaccine pending further review. State (

vaccine appointments.


We encourage you to take steps daily to ensure the safety for you and all
around you. Wear a mask, practice social distancing, wash your hands, avoid
large social gatherings, and stay home when sick. More information is
