[Important Information for Employees] Safety Alert - Concerning Behavior

Campus Community,

University Police are investigating an incident that occurred on Sunday,
March 29th, 2026, at approximately 7:15 p.m. in the Flynt Commons area of
the Angell College Center.

A female was approached by an unknown male who made inappropriate sexual
remarks and followed her when she attempted to leave the area.  The male is
described as white, approximately 6 feet tall, in his mid-twenties, medium
build, with very short dark hair.

University Police are attempting to identify this individual. Anyone with
information is asked to contact University Police at 518-564-2022, by email
at universitypolice at plattsburgh.edu, or through Silent Witness

 reporting.

You can take steps to keep yourself safe.

   - Be aware of your surroundings and trust your instincts
   - Walk with a friend or in groups when possible
   - Avoid isolated or poorly lit areas.
   - Keep your phone accessible and call for help if needed.

We are always available.  If you feel unsafe or need assistance, call
University Police right away.
