[Important Information for Employees] SUNY Plattsburgh’s Scheduled Emergency Notification Test

Dear Cardinals.

SUNY Plattsburgh will conduct a campus-wide test of the Emergency
Notification System on *Tuesday, March 31, between 11:00 a.m. and noon. *During
this test, you may receive messages through:

   - SUNY NY Alert (phone, text, email)
   - Campus email
   - Desktop notifications (on campus-owned computers)
   - Outdoor warning sirens

Please take a minute today to review your SUNY NY Alert profile for
accuracy or add extra ways to be notified.

*Why does this matter?* In an emergency, seconds count. Having your contact
info up to date ensures you’ll get alerts quickly and in multiple ways.

Here’s how you can check or update your profile:

   - Log in to MyPlattsburgh <https://my.plattsburgh.edu/home/>
   - Scroll to the bottom of the homepage and click *"Update my
   NY Alert Contact Information" *(under the “Emergency Notification”
   section)
   - On the next page, scroll to the bottom of the page, select the *second
   option**,* and then click *Continue*.
   - Follow the prompts to add or update your preferred contact methods (e.g.,
   phone, text, email).
   - On the last page, review your information, then click *“Register me
   with NY-Alert”* to save it.
