Campus Community,
Hazing has no place at SUNY Plattsburgh. Period. In December 2024, the
Stop Campus Hazing Act was signed into federal law. In support of SCHA, we
created this short video to explain:
-
What hazing really is
-
Why it goes against who we are as a campus
-
How to report it if you see it or experience it
*Please take a few minutes to watch it.*

Over the past year, students and staff across campus have been working
together to prevent hazing and build safer, stronger organizations and
teams. That work includes student-led programs, education, and new ways for
students to speak up and get help.
If you’re being hazed—or you’re worried about someone else—you have options:
-
*Call University Police:* (518) 564-2022
-
*Visit UPD:* Health Center Building, 45 Rugar Street
-
*Email:* universitypolice at plattsburgh.edu
-
*Report anonymously:*
-
Hazing Hotline: (518) 564-5555
-
Silent Witness Form:

Speaking up can stop harm and protect someone from getting hurt.
Help us keep SUNY Plattsburgh a place where everyone feels welcome,
respected, and safe.
Sincerely,
Patrick Rascoe
